Members enjoyed the holiday spirit all together: sipping cider, singing carols, door prizes, and lots of new friends while handling fragrant evergreen foliage. We were so happy to welcome our guests: Bonnie, Jess, Amanda, Keri, & Olivia, who got right to work with the rest of us and learned some wreath-making skills!

All together we made 3 wreaths for our Cape Clubhouse, 1 for the Guard Shack, 1 for the Broadneck Library, and 1 double-sided wreath for display at State Circle along with wreaths from all the area Garden Clubs. What a fun way to welcome in the holidays!

Garden Club Members enjoy some festive time together each year before the busyness of the holidays sets in.

First, at one of our most social gatherings of the year, together we create 7 fresh, fragrant evergreen wreaths, 3 of which get hung right on our Clubhouse doors. The Cape guard shack & the Broadneck Library each get one, and the last 2 double-sided wreaths are contributed along wreaths made by other Garden Clubs for display around the Maryland State House in downtown Annapolis. Members prune evergreens of all colors from our gardens and combine them. It’s so gratifying to create something so beautiful with our own bare hands!

Then to celebrate our volunteers’ efforts all year long, we celebrate together with a trip to visit the festive decor at Homestead Garden and Killarney House. Happy Holidays to all our neighbors, from Members of the Cape St. Claire Garden Club!

And you’re invited to come join the fun in 2023!

(Thanks to Member Rose Mary Stocker for these wonderful photos!)
